Jose and Brenda, united in marriage in 2005, have demonstrated a sustained commitment to youth development through their decade-long service as volunteer youth counselors at Greater Harvest Church Ministries in New Britain, Connecticut, under the pastoral leadership of Adalberto and Emily Ortiz. Their dedication to the young members of their community is evident in their multifaceted engagement. Beyond their voluntary roles within the church, their professional endeavors also involve regular interaction with adolescents and young adults navigating a spectrum of challenges, ranging from familial and socio-economic difficulties, such as unemployment and educational obstacles, to more critical issues including homelessness and substance dependency.

As parents of six children, Jose and Brenda actively cultivate a family environment deeply integrated with their ministry. Four of their children are participants in the Impact Youth Ministry at Greater Harvest Church Ministries, underscoring the family’s collective commitment to fostering spiritual growth and essential life skills within a supportive framework. The vision for the Next In Line Youth Camp (NILYC) emerged from years of thoughtful planning and aspiration to establish a youth camp specifically designed to equip young individuals to embrace their God-given calling. Today, Jose and Brenda can affirm the significant blessings bestowed upon this endeavor. NILYC has evolved into a flourishing community where young people have experienced restoration and are being prepared to fulfill their future as envisioned by their faith.
